Thank You So Very Much! H4H Benefit Raises More Than $230k!
A Personal Message From the Family of Holden Gothia
I want to thank a number of people from the deepest part of my soul. First, and foremost, I thank God for keeping His hands so wrapped around everything that touches Holden. He is an amazing and giving God and without Him, none of this would be possible!
Second, I want to thank my aunt and uncle, Cindy and C.O. (Shack) Vallet. They have been so completely committed in their tireless efforts with this event! It was because of them that this whole event took flight and we absolutely could not have done it without them! Absolutely no way! A very special thank you also goes out to Jerry and Beverly Nelson, Linda and Joe Penland, Sr., Joe Penland, Jr. and Sheila and Walter Umphrey, all of whom were major sponsors and supporters of our cause.
I wish that I could name each and every one of the volunteers who donated their time, their talent, their expertise, their love and their support, but there are far too many to name here! Each and every one of them were critical to the huge success of this fundraiser and there is no way that I can ever adequately express my heartfelt gratitude for all that they have given. You all know who you are and what you mean to us! I also want to thank each and every person who made a monetary on in-kind donation to our event. Again, without your generosity, we could not have reached the level of success that we achieved.
I want to also acknowledge our grassroots, local supporters from Deer Park, TX with fundraising efforts led by several local youth including Chad Dahnke, Peyton Eaves, Gregory Vincent, Jared Pettitte, Tyler Cauley, Preston Vaughn, Collin Means, Cody Cole, Sammy Saucedo, Kylie Smith, Avery Cable, Tatum Smith and Ashlyn Campo.
And last, but certainly not least, I want to thank the entire community of Lake Charles, LA for coming out in support of Heroes for Holden. Lake Charles has gone above and beyond anything that we could have ever expected! From the Lake Charles Police Department and their support through Cops & Jocks, Cooper Cares and the Blue Iron car wash, the McNeese Cowboys baseball club, the Swashbucklers indoor football club, and the Buckin’ on the Bayou bullriding event…you are all unbelievably amazing! Each and every donor and volunteer are the true selfless heroes in this! Thank you, thank you, thank you! – Patches DeShazo
